Whisker X45 Specialist Barbel: Specialist Engineering for the Current Feeder
The Whisker X45 Specialist series is designed to offer maximum versatility within Feeder and Ledgering techniques, providing the angler with a technical solution adaptable to different flow conditions and fish activity. The peculiarity of the project lies in the provision of a double tip : a classic Avon tip section for traditional bottom fishing in strong currents and a Quiver tip section (interchangeable), ideal for situations that require millimetric reading of the most timid bites using solid carbon tips.
The blank is made from HVF (High Volume Fiber) carbon, developed with Nanoplus technology in collaboration with Toray, ensuring an optimal power-to-weight ratio. The integration of X45 technology stabilizes the fibers against lateral torsion, a critical aspect when casting heavy feeders or fighting large fish such as barbel and carp in fast-flowing rivers. Thanks to the V-Joints, the rod maintains a progressive and smooth curve, eliminating the stiff points typical of multi-section rods and ensuring safe fish management even under extreme loads.
The sensitivity of the system is further enhanced by the use of the Megatop tip, which allows you to perceive the most delicate bites without compromising the structural strength necessary to handle "oversized" specimens. The technical package is completed by high-quality components: Fuji Alconite guides, chosen for their resistance and ability to dissipate heat with monofilament and braided lines, and a Fuji DPS reel seat that ensures total stability of the reel.
