The use of CI4+ ensures a significant weight saving on the compact Ultegra body. To further improve casting performance, the Ultegra uses 2-speed oscillation and an AR-C spool with the new Hi-Speed Drag. HAGANE Gear and X-Ship ensure the reel provides a powerful and very smooth retrieve, also thanks to the 5 A-RB bearings plus one Shimano ball bearing. The reel is protected by the new X-Protect system, which prevents the intrusion of water and dirt into the reel. Ultimately, a very compact, lightweight reel with unquestionable casting performance.
