BLACK CAP FEEDER is a feeder with swivel for maggots.
The “Black Cap” is the most popular feeder in Europe, produced by Kamasan in a full range of sizes and weights for loading live bait, such as maggots and casters, and inert materials such as micro pellets and meal. Their prerogative is a careful study of the size and positioning of the holes, to achieve perfect unloading dynamics, regardless of the contents of the cylinder. The black closing cap from which it takes its name is made of soft, wear-resistant plastic, which attaches perfectly to the edge of the frame, thanks to a retention collar. The “Black Cap” flat lead is placed at the base of the frame, and connected to the closing cap, thanks to a 14-pound red Powergum loop that runs through it. At its end is a rolling swivel that allows the feeder to be quickly swapped for one of a different size and weight. The “Black Cap” is also easily subject to personal modifications by more experienced anglers who convert it to a partial “open end” by cutting the tail of its frame. Recommended for fishing in currents, but also valid in still waters, when it is necessary to attract fish by releasing significant quantities of loose bait.
