New accessory designed exclusively for the Deeper QUEST bait boat and adds a dedicated scanning mode for detailed viewing of the seabed and submerged structures.
The Deeper DownScan UnderVision Module is the optional sonar module designed for Deeper QUEST, designed to give anglers a more detailed and precise view of what is beneath the baitboat.
Thanks to DownScan UnderVision technology, the module allows you to analyse the seabed, vegetation and submerged structures with greater definition, helping to precisely identify the most interesting areas for laying bait and hookbait.
A more detailed view of the seabed
Unlike CHIRP technology, which is primarily geared towards finding fish, reading the water column and general scanning of the environment, DownScan UnderVision was developed to show bottom structure and what is directly beneath the Deeper QUEST in more detail.
The DownScan beam covers 67° laterally and just 1.5° longitudinally. This unique geometry allows it to capture a thin section of the seabed as the baitboat moves; the subsequent scans are then combined in the app to build a detailed representation of the underwater environment.
Ideal for locating fishing spots
DownScan UnderVision is especially useful when you need to precisely analyze a spot already identified with CHIRP sonar.
Detailed view can help to recognize:
• seabed changes and transitions;
• edges of vegetation and algae;
• trees, branches and other submerged obstacles;
• rocks and submerged structures;
• steps, drop-offs and differences in seabed level;
• cleaner areas, more suitable for the placement of bait and terminal tackle.
For carp fishing, this possibility is particularly interesting: after having identified a promising area, the angler can use DownScan to examine it more carefully and choose more precisely the spot where to deposit bait and rig.
DownScan images are displayed directly through the Fish Deeper app. Anglers can adjust sensitivity to suit fishing conditions and the desired level of detail.
Higher sensitivity allows you to highlight even weaker signals and small details, while lower sensitivity can be useful for obtaining a cleaner image when there is a lot of noise.
Three viewing modes are also available:
• Classic – traditional setting, with good contrast between water, seabed and structures;
• Day – designed to improve readability in bright conditions;
• Night – designed for sessions in low light conditions.
• You can also activate a quick command to switch between CHIRP and DownScan directly from the sonar screen.
