This exciting new design features the much-discussed Slik Clip, a special dual-purpose clip that offers a major advantage over other similar spool styles. The Slik Clip is designed to allow you to place your main line into the base of the clip, thereby securing the clip to the line. This distance increases the spool's sensitivity and is very effective when fishing with slack line, as it's impossible for your line to move even a few millimeters without the spool shifting. Once a pull is felt on your line, it will release from the clip and be free to slide through the central section of the Silk Clip, meaning that if the bite turns into a drop, your spool will still be attached to the line. Only when you lift your rod off the bite alarm will the spool completely disengage from the line. An additional benefit is that the tension is fully adjustable, allowing you to change the diameter of the wire used without the clip losing its grip.
