KRIMP is a connection to eliminate knots from frames.
Crimping is a great way to create clean, strong connections, especially when using stiffer and/or thicker materials that can be difficult to tie effectively. It also allows you to consistently achieve the desired length, which is particularly useful for chod rigs. These double-barreled krimps are designed for use with a variety of hooklengths and, when used in conjunction with the krimp tool, will give you a reliable connection. Make sure you use the right size krimp for the diameter of your hooklength—if the krimp is too large, it can slip. The small 0.6mm version is perfect for use with materials like Mouth Trap, the 25lb version of Boom, and even stiffer-coated braid like Hybrid. The large 0.7mm krimp is for very thick materials, like 35lb Boom or very heavy mono. The latest addition to the range, the X-Small 0.5mm version, is perfect for use with 15lb Booms or any other crimpable rig (with little or no stretch) with a diameter between 0.40mm and 0.50mm. They come in a small tin with a sliding lid to help prevent spills, with 50 Krimps per pack.
