MSG (PURE MONOSODIUM GLUTAMATE) is a powdered additive for the production of boilies.
MSG is derived from fermented seaweed, a well-known nutritional source and a flavor enhancer, much like salt. This enhances the flavor of bait, primarily its saltiness (umami), and intensifies the flavor of amino acids. It consists primarily of the amino acid glutamate, the anion of glumatic acid, a key component of protein. Don't confuse this powder with the supermarket variant, as it is a much finer, pure MSG powder.
It is great combined with clove essential oil for maximum savory effect.
Product characteristics: white crystal powder, hygroscopic, water-soluble, savory flavor.
Recommended dosage per kg of mix: up to 0.4 - 0.5%.
