CLONES POP UPS - 13 MM NUTTY HEMP are the new pop ups from Mainline available in a 13 mm diameter.
Mainline Clones have been designed to provide you with a durable hookbait for fishing over a bed of grain that will match both in colour and flavour.
The main purpose of Clones is, as the name suggests, to ‘clone’ whatever grain or spod mix you are baiting with and replicate it into a groundbait that is much more practical to use than the grain itself.
This is because some grains are too small or too soft to be effectively used on rigs, and certainly if you want to be sure that the hookbait will stay on the hair and work as it should for extended periods of time - an example is sweetcorn.
Clones are available in four different types/flavours, in 13mm pop-ups or 10mm x 14mm wafters, and although primarily designed for use on grain, they have also proven very effective in all fishing situations in testing.
Nutty Hemp:
Hemp is one of the greatest fish attractors, and carp love eating this oily seed, so much so that when they're on the groundbait, you can see the oil slicks rising to the surface! Hemp is also visually appealing, as this shiny, dark brown/black seed stands out against the lake bed thanks to the white spots that stand out from the seed's opening and the beginning of germination.
To mimic it, not only in flavor but also in appearance, Clones Nutty Hemp pop-ups and wafters are two-toned: dark black and slightly off-white.
