The new Daiwa 26 Tournament Basia 45 SCW QD represents the ultimate evolution of Daiwa ’s Big Pit philosophy. Designed and built in Japan without compromise, it was created to satisfy the needs of the most demanding carp anglers, offering a unique combination of power, smoothness and casting performance that redefines the standards of the category.
Compared to the previous generation, the new Basia features a completely redesigned design, with a newly developed 45mm spool featuring a larger diameter and a further optimized Long Cast profile. This solution allows for even smoother line flow, reducing friction during casting and significantly improving both distance and accuracy, essential qualities for long-range fishing sessions.
The ZAION body keeps the reel incredibly light while ensuring extremely high structural rigidity, while the new AIRDRIVE system makes rotation even smoother and more responsive. Each turn of the handle feels incredibly fluid, with a rapid recovery of 115 cm per turn, ideal for quickly retrieving the rig or managing fish even at long distances.
The mechanical heart is entrusted to the reliable Tough Digigear , machined with extreme precision to offer a powerful, silent and long-lasting transmission even after years of intensive use. MagSealed technology protects the internal components from water, dust and impurities, helping to maintain the proverbial smoothness of the best Daiwa reels over time.
The Quick Drag (QD) clutch develops a maximum drag of 15kg and allows you to instantly switch from freespool to combat drag with a simple twist of the knob. An essential feature when tackling large carp in snag-filled environments or during particularly challenging fights.
