FLOATING MAGGOT are floating plastic baits to imitate “maggots” that are long-lasting and resistant against nuisance fish. They can be used alone or in combination with live maggots.
Perfect for Mag Aligner rigs when threaded onto the shank of a small hook, you can use them to mask a hook when zigging for very pressured fish, or even in a loop as a stopper for hybrid rigs with plastic corn or real corn on the hair.
Floating plastic maggots are a great way to create slow-sinking presentations and offset the weight of a hook and maggot clip combined. Add a plastic maggot first and last when threading live maggots onto your line or bait floss. When they're bundled together and tied onto a rig, the knot will pull against the plastic maggots rather than popping the live, more fragile maggots off the line.
Like all Nash plastic baits, they can be soaked or dipped in liquids to increase their attraction. Scopex No. 1 and sweetener are a lethal mix for improving the presentation of both your live maggots and floating plastic maggots.
