HI-'S' are top quality carp fishing rods, made of 40t Japanese carbon.

HI-'S' RANGE

Using premium 40t Japanese carbon with a low resin content and an attractive 1k weave, these rods have been incredibly popular since their release. The significantly reduced resin content makes these blanks thinner, lighter, yet more powerful than those made with conventional carbons, benefiting both experienced and inexperienced casters. The extremely low resin content radically reduces softening, keeping these rods within the tested curve range for much longer; this, combined with the Perdurable finish, will ensure they perform for many years. Because the tips are very thin, the actions of these rods are fast to semi-fast with stiffer mid and butt sections. There is virtually no tip bounce after the cast to minimize friction at longer distances. This material, combined with the use of the Clone Seat reel seat, helps transmit more feel to the blank to aid in determining bottom conditions. These rods are handcrafted in the UK to exacting standards with the option of a fully customizable assembly service. In addition to the standard solution, they can be built with full cork, EVA, or heat-shrink handles at a modest additional cost. New to the series is the Hi-S IVE, which offers casting performance close to that of a 200, but with a much softer tip for fish-playing.
