Very fine spod/marker braid, suitable for reaching considerable distances!
As the name suggests (SLR stands for "super long range"), this braid has been developed to allow you to cast your spod or marker at great distances: the only limit is your rod and rig! SLR Spod/Marker Braid boasts an incredibly small diameter made from a single strand, meaning it can be cast effortlessly to previously unthinkable distances.
It is also completely inelastic and therefore allows you to “feel” every single feature of the seabed.
A shockleader should be used to compensate for the smaller diameter; Korda recommends 30lb/13.6kg Arma-Kord, as the knot created will pass through the rod guides without snagging, whereas stiffer materials can cause frapping problems.
The braid is pastel green in color and is available in 300m spools.
