KAMAKURA WIDE GAPE X is the sharpest hook possible coupled with strength beyond imaginable.
The Kamakura process ensures a hook sharpness as good as a hand-sharpened hook, without the time and effort required to sharpen it yourself—you can be sure these hooks are perfect every time you take them out of the box. The Kamakura Wide Gape X is a larger version of the classic model, with a thicker wire, but with a much sharper and thinner point than the standard "X" hook—you'll likely need to replace your hook after every fish you catch due to the razor-sharp point. It features a slightly inward-turned eye, a short shank, a heavily forged bend, and a beaked point. It can be used with a wide variety of pop-up and bottom bait presentations, and once inserted, it tends to stay in place. The points are protected by a wax stain that must be carefully removed before use. The hooks come in a box that holds each hook securely in place. You get 10 hooks in each box. The barbed and barbless versions are available in sizes 4, 6 or 8.
