The Tamer Black Edition are lightweight, responsive and durable river fishing rods, made from Japanese Toray carbon to ensure precision, sensitivity and optimal control even in the most challenging currents.
Tamer Black Edition rods are designed for specialist anglers who want lightweight, responsive, high-performance river rods with the power and control to tackle currents effectively. Built using the proven Tamer blank philosophy, these rods combine Japanese Toray carbon, low resin content, and Double X reinforcement to create ultra-thin blanks that feel lively yet stable under pressure. Most models are supplied with dual tips, giving anglers both an Avon tip and a separate quiver tip for true versatility when fishing for barbel, chub, specialist bottom fishing, tench, and bream. Finished in the cleanest Black Edition style with cork grips, black acetal collars, and ceramic-coated guides, these rods retain the traditional precision feel of specialist rods, while adding modern, durable construction for refined control, clear bite indication, and confident fish-playing power.
