L-LYSINE HYDROCHLORIDE POWDER (PURE) is a powdered additive for the production of boilies.
Lysine is considered the most essential amino acid for carp in a balanced or high-nutrient bait. Adding the right amino acids will be a valuable addition to any bait. It increases the bait's palatability and stimulates carp's appetite.
Research at several universities around the world has shown that certain amino acids are highly attractive to carp and will stimulate feeding. In tests with single amino acid supplements, the carp's feeding response was most intense to this amino acid, indicating that L-lysine was the best olfactory stimulant.
It's difficult to find in fish because it's not abundant in natural foods. Some shellfish, such as krill and mussels, contain high levels of L-lysine.
