AVENTUS DISTANCE FEEDER ROD are high-end long distance feeder rods, suitable for all fishing situations.
The 13-foot model in the Aventus range is designed to combine multiple assets: distance, accuracy, durability, and fishing action. Built to Tackle Guru specifications by Daiwa in their renowned UK facilities using the highest-quality Japanese carbon and the latest rod technology.
Three-piece, ideal for use in a Fusion Rod carryall. Supplied with three spare carbon distance tips with large guides to allow easy insertion of shock leader knots - 1.5 oz, 2 oz, and 3 oz. The rod has a casting weight of 150 g and can reach distances of over 100 m with the right equipment and technique.
With both our 12-foot and 13-foot distance rods, we wanted to produce a tool that would help anglers cast further, more accurately, and with ease. However, the rods still needed a playing action to allow them to target all types of fish, from F1s and skimmers in Ireland and on natural streams, to large carp on vast British venues at distance using Method and Hybrid Feeders.
Like the entire Aventus range, this rod is capable of handling all situations. It's ideal for carp fishing on commercial waters, when big fish and heavy weights are at stake, and it's equally suited to catching skimmers and F1s in winter, or silverfish in natural venues.
The 13ft rod in particular has been put through its paces on big rivers across the UK and Europe, holding up to everything we could throw at it!
A crisp, progressive action means the rod has plenty of power when needed, while retaining a fish-playing action that prevents fish pulls.
The rod is equipped with oversized, bulletproof Fuji Alconite K guides, which are super strong and designed to prevent breakage and tangles. All guides are strategically placed to give the rod the perfect compression, casting performance, and catching action.
A Grade A cork handle is ultra-comfortable and durable, with an Armlock design for maximum fish control. Finished with a Fuji DPS reel seat.
The rod butt is completed with a custom Guru EVA contoured grip, with finger moulds to aid hand placement on the cast, allowing you to easily achieve maximum compression, distance and accuracy!
A key feature is the length of the handles: longer than usual, again to aid distance and accuracy. The longer handle provides more leverage and power, helping anglers cast more accurately and further.
A unique and fundamental resource for the Aventus project is Zero 90 carbon technology. This process involves double-layering carbon fibers in different directions, from zero to 90 degrees. Once hardened, this gives the rods longitudinal strength, recovery, and action. The tubular shape of any fishing rod deforms when compressed. Zero 90 technology allows us to control this deformation, preventing the loss of energy and accuracy, while maintaining the cylindrical structure for greater casting power and accuracy.
