CTX POWER FEEDER DISTANCE are feeder rods, built in quality carbon.
Any rod that carries the CTX name means we have tried to apply as much of our experience and technology as possible to the blank design and fittings, but keeping prices to a minimum and the CTX Power Feeders are no exception.
The use of 40t Japanese carbon with Bi-Axis carbon tape provides a lightweight yet durable and responsive blank. The emphasis is on consistently loading the blank to build power consistently, producing the longest, most accurate casts with relative ease without "exploding" pellet-filled feeders or open ends. A shorter quiver tip section helps this as the diameter of the upper section's joint where it meets the tip is much smaller, eliminating flat spots and improving power transfer through this area and down the blank, offering improved fish action without "lock-up"—especially important with light lines and where stretch feeders are not permitted.
We fit the optimal number of anti-frap guides with a 30mm butt guide and then quickly reduce the size to taper the lines downward, helping to eliminate fraying and aid distance casting. The handle is finished with grade "A" cork, stainless steel fittings, and a Fuji VSS reel seat. The handle lengths are longer than those found on commercial feeders to provide greater leverage for long casts, yet still manageable for catching fish at close range.
Supplied with 3 carbon quiver tips with larger guides for use with shock leaders or heavier line or braid in a bum bag style rod bag that will accommodate rods with reels attached and rod top protectors and a lead band.
As with the Hi-'S 'Power range, the CTX Power Feeders come with 'Special' and 'Distance' models, but feature the additional Multi-version:
Distance: Designed for extreme distances on reservoirs and lakes and large European rivers where extra power is needed - casting weight up to 160g.
We are currently developing a range of lighter glass tips particularly suitable for Power Feeder Specials for targeting roach and other smaller fish and anticipate these will be available shortly.
As for the Distance version, the tips are 2, 3 and 5 oz.
