The CTX carp fishing rod range, covering every need, from smaller waters up to long distances with the SU models!
A complex manufacturing process integrates 40t and 30t Japanese carbon with a resin percentage of less than 25%.
Alternating 90-degree and zero-degree reinforcement increases strength, followed by an additional 3mm biaxial carbon tape wrap at 45 degrees, resulting in extremely strong yet ultra-light and thin blanks.
Like all Free Spirit carp rods, the blanks also feature overlapping joints, as we believe this allows the rod to flex more effectively with the hollow section.
In addition to an improved power-to-weight ratio of the blank at this price point, an additional benefit of this multi-layer construction is casting accuracy, as the blank is less prone to twisting and the effects of misalignment.
We are known for our long-distance casting rods and have proven in testing that the blank construction has produced rods with extreme casting ability and excellent recovery.
Aesthetically, the 'X' tape runs the entire length of the blank, giving it a very attractive and distinctive matte finish, free of varnish or lacquer, therefore resistant to the fading effects caused by the sun.
The new opaque tape also helps prevent rod "flash" that can spook wary fish.
Featuring Fuji DPS reel seats, stainless steel collars, rear caps and ‘S’-Lite guides with shortened 40mm and 50mm models and full cork handles, these rods will perform and look great for years to come and won’t cost a fortune.
