HYDROLYZED FEATHER PROTEIN MEAL 90% (ENZYME TREATED, PRE-DIGESTED) is a flour for the production of boilies.

Also known as keratin, this product is obtained from fresh poultry feathers through the process of autoclave hydrolysis, heat drying, grinding, cooling, and packaging. Hydrolysis/predigestion of the feathers before drying breaks down the protein bonds in the raw material and makes this meal highly digestible. Hydrolyzed feather meal is an excellent source of natural protein for carp and most livestock diets. It can be used to replace significant portions of other protein sources in aquaculture diets. Significant savings can be achieved by replacing more expensive fish meal formulations with hydrolyzed feather meal. Hydrolyzed feather meal is a valuable source of protein. It is rich in water-soluble amino acids such as arginine, proline, glycine, and aspartic acid. In high-protein, high-energy diets for carp, the high protein content of hydrolyzed feather meal allows for simpler formulation.
