The original Korda Longshank X was based on the original and popular fly hook designs, which found favour with carp anglers due to their shape and hooking ability - we have made them much stronger and sharper.
Fast forward 20 years and Danny Fairbrass has once again tweaked this ultimate carp catcher.
Heavily influenced by his Underwater experiences, Dan decided to make two major changes to one of his favorite models, making it even more lethal.
The first modification was to design the hook with a beaked point.
In testing, the beaked point provided a more secure hook hold, significantly increasing the hooked-to-caught ratio.
The other change was to bend the eyelet further inwards.
The original model has a 20-degree angled eyelet, while the new version with a beak has a 40-degree angle.
This helps the hook flip and turn quickly in the carp's mouth, ensuring a good, consistent hook hold.
In keeping with the original design, the Longshank Beaked is forged, with a thicker wire gauge for added strength and a PTFE coating for extended life.
Available in sizes 2 , 4 , 6 and 8 , with and without barbs, with ten hooks per pack.
